About
Software engineers and phone engineers, under one roof.
Knack is based in Miami and works with businesses across the US. We started it to sell two things we had been building separately for years, custom business software and voice and texting service, as one connected product.
Why the two go together
Most of a small business’s customer history lives in phone calls and text messages. Most CRMs never see any of it. Someone has to remember to log the call, copy the text, or type up what the customer said. Usually nobody does.
We kept getting asked to connect a client’s CRM to their phone system, and it usually meant a fragile plug-in between two vendors who each blamed the other when it broke. Building both sides ourselves removes that seam. A call is logged because the phone system and the CRM are written by the same team, not because a sync job ran.
How we work
The people who scope it build it
Nobody hands your project to an outsourced team after the sales call. The engineers in the discovery session write the code and answer the support requests.
Plain answers on price and fit
You get a fixed price in writing before work starts. If a packaged tool fits you better than custom software, we tell you, even though it means we do not get the project.
We run what we build
We host the CRMs we write and operate the phone network we sell. When something is wrong we can see it and fix it ourselves, without opening a ticket with someone else.
Software that changes with you
A CRM is never finished. Most of our work with a client happens after launch: a new report, a new step in the process, a new location.
Tell us how your team works today.
Spreadsheets, a CRM nobody updates, a phone system from 2012. Describe it in a few lines and we will tell you what we would build and what it would cost.
