• The content of your messages to us, and the details you share about your business so we can scope a project.
• Billing details when you become a customer. Card and bank payments are processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• Your consent to receive text messages, including the date, time and the page or method where you gave it.

Information collected automatically

• Basic technical data from your browser when you visit the site, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the request. We use it to run and secure the site.
• This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

Information processed for our customers

When a business uses our CRM or phone service, we store and process the records, call recordings, voicemails and messages that business creates. We process that information on the customer’s behalf and only to provide the service to them.

How we use information

• To reply to your inquiry and provide quotes, proposals and the services you ask for.
• To send service messages, such as appointment reminders, project updates, account notices and support replies.

Text messaging (SMS) and mobile information

If you give us your mobile number and opt in to text messages, we use it to send you the messages you agreed to receive, such as replies to your inquiry, appointment scheduling and reminders, and account or service notices. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of sharing described in this policy and will not be shared with or sold to any third party. Information may be shared with the subcontractors that support our text messaging service, such as phone carriers and messaging platform providers, only to deliver the messages you asked for.

When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers that help us run our business, such as hosting, email delivery, payment processing and phone carriers, under obligations to protect it and use it only for the services they provide to us.
• When required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Knack, our customers or others.
• In connection with a merger, sale or transfer of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to the information transferred.

The text messaging exclusions above apply in every one of these cases.

How long we keep information

We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and customer information for as long as you are a customer and afterwards as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes. Customer data stored in our CRM and phone systems is kept according to the customer’s agreement with us.

Security

We protect information with access controls, encryption in transit, and monitored, backed-up systems. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected people as required by law if a breach occurs.

Your choices and rights

• You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
• You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal and contractual record-keeping requirements.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We will honor requests as those laws require.

Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
